Honesty is all we have. We are a tiny foundation. We do not have big offices or many staff. When you donate, we put the money in our bank account and then pay the school or buy what the child needs. We keep receipts and share them with you.
We do not send money to a diocese or a large organisation – we do it ourselves. That is how we keep costs low and make sure every shilling helps a child.
“I received a letter from my sponsored child and a photo. I also got a simple receipt showing my money bought two uniforms and three months of meals. I trust them.” – John, sponsor from Gulu
We believe donors deserve to know exactly where their money goes. That is why we share everything.
What you receive
After you sponsor a child, we will send you a short report at the end of the year. It will list what was bought – for example, “school fees – $30, meals – $20, uniform – $10”. You will also get a letter from the child and a photo.
- Basic breakdown of how your funds were used
- One or two photos from the school
- An option to send a letter to your child
- You can contact us anytime for an update
OKWAGALA For Children began in 2024. We are still small, still growing. We are not yet registered, but we are working on it. Every sponsor is part of our family. If you wish to visit your sponsored child, let us know – we will do our best to arrange it.
